Sam Shahwan is a 22-year technology industry veteran, and currently The Software Guild’s Corporate Solutions Director covering the West coast of the United States. Sam started his career with the City of SeaTac in Washington as a senior project manager and later started his own IT venture with Logic Plus Inc., developing solutions for the telecommunications and public sector industries. Sam worked with many corporations and entities throughout his roles, including Microsoft, the AR State Unemployment Department, MAAPS of Massachusetts, Planned Giving of Seattle and many others. As an entrepreneur, Sam was involved early on in two startups, and was able to successfully sell both. After moving to Dubai in 2002, Sam worked for Microsoft in key roles including as the Area director of Education, covering the Middle East & Africa.
Sam also owns a multi-franchise learning center in central Florida, where he employs 20 teachers who help improve students’ learning skills and college preparation. Sam is married, with 5 children, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Tennessee as well as an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.
